Your data, explained plainly

We collect the minimum we need to run the service. We never sell your data. Here is exactly what we hold and why.
What we collect
Your name and email address
We need these to identify you, send you receipts, and let you sign in.

While your account is open, plus 30 days after you close it
Your phone number
We dial your number to connect you with your technician. Once the call ends we delete it — we have no reason to keep it.

Deleted at the end of each support session
Payment information
Australian tax law (ATO) requires us to keep financial records for 7 years. We store the transaction amount and order reference only — your card details are held by Stripe, not us.

Support session transcripts
If there is ever a billing dispute we need to be able to show what happened during the session. After 2 years we delete the transcript.

Call recordings
We record calls so we can create a text transcript. As soon as that transcript is ready the audio is deleted. We never store audio.

Your device information
When you register a device for support, we store basic details (device name, operating system) so your technician can prepare. You can remove devices from your portal at any time.

IP address and security logs
We keep brief logs to detect fraud and protect accounts. After 30 days they are deleted automatically.

Who can see your data
We share data with a small number of trusted services that are necessary to run NetDesk. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 you have the right to access, correct, and delete the data we hold about you.
Download everything we hold about you
Get a copy of your profile, session history, bookings, and registered devices as a JSON file. Call transcripts are not included in the self-service download — email us at privacy@netdesk.au if you need one.
Close your account
You can delete your account from your portal at any time. We will delete your profile and personal information within 30 days. Financial records are kept for 7 years as required by Australian tax law and cannot be deleted earlier.
